This weeks update

Let us review this weeks adventures.

Yesterday, Sunday, we had to cancel Beckett's baby blessing because said little boy was sick again and he had to go to the hospital again.  Thanks Grandma for calling everyone and telling them it was canceled!

I was glad I was the one staying home with Beckett, because I would have been really embarrassed at church.  They got up and announced we were blessing him, Jason had to walk all the way to the front and explain to the bishop, who is like half deaf that we weren't going to bless him, Awkward!

Saturday they let Beckett out of the hospital.  They gave him the cutest little turtle thing for his respiratory treatments.  You can see it is tiny and he is a little turtle!
Our neighbors from Idaho Falls also came and visited us.  We sat and shot the breeze while the kids played.  It was really nice to see our friends.  I miss them like crazy!

Friday I took Beckett to the doctor because he was grunting when he was breathing and had stopped eating.  I was really proud of myself for not waiting and having to go to the ER that night or on Saturday.  I thought I would nip it in the bud and make it so we didn't have to end up in the hospital.  Ha Ha Ha.  Silly rabbit tricks are for kids.  Luckily this time it was only for one day.

Thursday I took Truman and Elleree to the doctor because Truman had been sick with a fever since the previous Sunday and Elleree had the same fever since Tuesday.  Turns out they had strep throat poor bugs.

The rest of the week was spent handing out medicine and doing my awesome crafts:

These are my decorative balls made out of cupcake liners.  I know what you are thinking (Why?).  Yeah well I am going half crazy, and need things to do even if it is making things out of cupcake liners!

This is my Valentine's Day wreath made out of felt.  I decided I like felt.  It was supposed to be made in the shape of a heart, but Twin Falls awesome craft stores don't have hart shaped Styrofoam.  Whatever.

This is a protective case I made for my new iPhone.  Yeah after I was bragging about how my cheap flip phone was indestructible, I dropped it and broke it.  Jason went and got us new phones.  I am scared to drop it, or have it get smashed in my purse, or what ever so I made this case.

Well, that is all the up dates I have for this week.  I think I may rename me blog Sick kids and Crafts.  That pretty much sums up my life!

Winter Sports

The kids have had a rough time with the move, so Jason decided to get Dillon and Truman onto a basketball team.  That way they would be getting exercise and playing with kids their own age.  They practice once a week and play every Saturday.  On the Saturdays that Jason works this proves to be difficult for me to take them all to there respective games, and try to keep Elleree happy, and Beckett fed.  So far though the kids have loved it and it has been really good for them.

It is difficult for someone with my limited skills to get good pictures of things that are moving.  So, alas you are subjected to these awesome pictures!

Dillon is quite the rebounder, he is a little taller than most of the other kids on the court.  It happens to be a good thing because he doesn't get passed the ball that often.

Every so often he will take a shot.  He hasn't made one yet, but that's okay.  More often he rebounds and passes for an assist.  He is a pretty good team player.

Now, if you want to get some good laughs, watch a bunch of 5 year olds playing ball.  These kids are hilarious!  They play with a little ball, and can barely dribble it.  Their couches are allowed onto the court to help keep them on task.  More often times then not you will see them playing Karate not basketball.

They have to be reminded who's basket is who's.  Offence and defence are the same thing to them.  As my dad would say "it's like herding a bunch of cats".  It makes for a good laugh though.

I was hoping that I would make some aquantences/friends amoung the parents.  But, it is not meant to be.  It seems most of the parents know eachother, and I am kind of the odd man out.  I have yet you make any friends here.  It is starting to get discouraging.    I've found it  hard to put myself out there, especially when I don't know what is going to be happening in the next couple of months.  It doesn't make it any less lonely though.  I just keep thinking that there is some sort of method to this madness. Right?????

Dillon has made a friend that comes over to play, his name is Beau.  Beau informed me yesterday that his mom has acne too.  Yeah, I don't want to talk about it.  I love that kids are so brutaly honest!
