Preschool

I am a slacker of a mother and have not blogged about Elleree's Preschool, which ended like over a month ago.  Anyway, I got some cute pictures of the little program they did.
Her teacher is the lady in this photo, Mrs. Warrner, and she is the best preschool teacher ever.  When Elleree first started going to preschool she cried, by the end she was fine.  It had a lot to do with her teachers.
She insisted on doing her own hair, these pictures are taken with my phone, but it looks awesome.
The little girl next to her in the green is her best friend Ivy.  She is super cute!  Preschool has been a very good experience for Miss Elleree, and I think she is ready for the big time.

City of Rocks

Jason had Memorial Day off, so he decided to take us on another of his "adventures".
We went to City of Rocks over by Okley, and Albion.
There were a ton of neat rock formations.
For the life of me I'm not sure how they came up with the names of some of them though.
The kids had a good time exploring. They found this caterpillar.
They also found lots of lizards, but didn't catch any much to Dillon's frustration.
 There were wild flowers everywhere.
Truman decided to pick me one of every kind of flower he could find.  I took a picture of my beautiful bouquet, then I promply threw them out.  I'm a good mom like that.
I got tiered of pictures with everyone else, so once again I played with the timer.
 I decided I need a tripod.
Beckett found this horse by one of the rocks, we asked everyone around if it was theirs and it was not.  So we took it with us.  Jason took some "action shoots" with it.  He was really pretty proud of them, crack me up.
Beckett did like the horse though.
I think it ended up in every picture of him from then on.
The place where we had our picnic was a fun place for the kids to climb around and explore.
Jason did a pretty good job with this "adventure" sorry to disappoint any of you.

This and That, That and This

I have a few stranglers on my camera that I need to put on here.  Fun things:
Jason introduced Elleree and Beckett to the "pool"  (aka our tub).  I am not a tub person I never take baths so these huge jetted tubs are wasted on me.  Turns our the kid love them, and it kind of cleans all the dirt and dust out every so often.
It's a win, win if you ask me.  So now we ask the kids do you want to go for a swim, or take a bath.  It depends on their mood.
This is my Mother's Day present.  We have a ton of wheat (Jason's version of food storage), but had no way of grinding it.  One day I decided I wanted to make a whole wheat pizza that my friend Shawnee makes and the kids love.  So I started grinding the wheat with my blender......it broke.
Then I started grinding it with the mortar and pestle.  Thank goodness we had one of these handy right.  Not so much, two hours later and I only had 1/4 cup of flour I was done.
I ordered my self a wheat grinder.  It works like a charm, and even hooks up to a drill if I don't want to make my kids grind it.  Now I can use all that wheat in my storage any time I want.
Making yummy bread like this!  Sure I had to buy a new blender and am going to have to buy a new drill that will fit the attachment for the grinder (who knew there were different size drill heads not me), but so what. Right?
My mom flew my grandma in to visit again.  Every time I see her, I and afraid it will be the last.  I woke up in the morning and found Beckett and her like this.
I took some pictures of them.
Then I decided I was tired of only getting pictures of them I wanted me in it too, so I played with the timer on my camera.  I ended up getting some cute four generation ones like this one.

The Big One Oh

My little boy is growing up!  Okay the kid was never little right?  He was born at 10 pounds 10 years ago and never looked back.  It is amazing to me that 10 years ago I only had one kid and my life wasn't crazy in the least.  Ah the good old days, just kidding.  I wouldn't trade my babies (even if they aren't babies anymore they will always be my babies) for anything.
I had to put some pictures of Dillon as a baby.  Does anyone remember this little man?  I was tempted to put a picture of Dillon and me when I was wearing a bikini, and looked a million times less like what I do now.  But, then I remembered this post was not about me. Heehehehehe.
Dillon has always been the sweetest little boy.  He tries very hard for my approval, and I am afraid I don't give it as often as I should.  He has a contagious smile.  It lights up his whole face.
He is my right had man, and since Jason hasn't been around much lately he has been my big helper with his siblings.  He is very responsible and definitely has a ton of oldest child traits.
He got his balloons and was pleased, "you did a good job" he said,"even if none of them have anything to do with sports."
Beckett got a balloon too and he promptly let it go to the ceiling, no chance of me getting that back anytime soon.
Bless his hart I didn't have to make him a cake. He wanted and ice cream cake from DQ.
For his birthday he got his own room.  He gets to pick how he wants it painted and what colors.  He gets to pick out his bedding and got our queen sized bed.  He is just happy he doesn't have to room with Truman anymore.  I hope this will make them fight less, miracles happen everyday.  He is holding up a vinyl football player he got for his wall.  Tune in later to see how his room turns out!
Jason decided everyone needed to give Dillon 10 spankings.
He put up a pretty good fight.  Almost everyone got theirs in.
I love my mister man Dillon.  I couldn't imagine a better kid.  He is so honest and kind, well to everyone but Truman.  He is a wonderful son and I am so blessed to have been trusted with him.  He is truly wonderful..

Volunteering Mostly

Don't worry I'm back!  I know I haven't blogged in forever but in my defense the last couple of weeks have been really crazy.  So crazy in fact I showed up for a doctors appointment yesterday and they informed me that it was actually the previous day.  Here is another one, I got pulled over for speeding twice in less than a week. Both times less than a mile from each other and I can honestly say I had no idea I was speeding. That, I am afraid, is how things have been going  lately.

I have been running (driving) around too much. Between preschool and Dillon's school both in Twin Falls.
Both Dillon and Truman were in spring soccer, and I was asked to volunteer to coach Dillon's team.  Which entails two practices and one game a week.  I know Desiree as a coach....What?  I have never played a game of soccer in my life!  Jason has played a ton and has coached, so he helped me a lot bless his heart!

Dillon was one of the best players on his team.
The bulldogs (our name hehehe) actually did really well.  We didn't lose a game.  I was glad I got a team that was good because I really don't have the patience for stupid players.  I know it sounds harsh, but I'm just keeping it real for you!
Dillon was a little worker and has his dad's skills!  I actually enjoyed being their coach the kids were fun, but I was glad when it was done.
Then there was Truman. He had only one practice and game a week that I had to run him to. This is the most action I swear he had the whole season.

Most of the time he was like this.  He doesn't' like to move so much.  It's too much work for him.

He did like to be the goalie.  I say did past tense, because about the second game it was really windy and the goal blew over on top of him and pinned him down.  He didn't get hurt, which is why I couldn't stop laughing!  Seriously, I could have won some sort of prize if I had caught it on camera, it was great!
My new, or should I say old calling is in the Scouts.  I don't love my calling, coming up with something to do each week is challenging to say the least.  Here are some Teepees we made.
One of the bonuses has been that I have gotten to be Dillon's leader.  He just earned his bear this last month, and I got to present it to him, that was neat.  I felt bad because Jason missed it, he had to work.
The other thing that is challenging about my calling is that I have to take all four kids and Dillon is the only one old enough to be in it.  So I constantly have them underfoot, it's alot of fun.  Here we are at the police station in Jerome.
Hopefully this is the closest Elleree ever gets to riding in the back of a police car!
I have also been volunteering at Truman's school once a week.  A little while ago they took a field trip and Truman's teacher asked if I could come.  We went to the park.
We went to the library, and the post office.  I think Truman likes having me there, and I like being involved with the kids in his class and his teacher.
When ever one of the kids in his class see me they give me a hug, it's pretty cute.
They only know me as Truman's mom, so that is what they call me.
 I re-upholstered my bar-stools, from this.........
to this.  You can't tell but they now have heavy duty vinyl on them, so they are now officially kid proof!
