This and That

This is a post for things that don't quite fit anywhere else.
Truman lost two more teeth.  That is six now that he has lost.  My kids are a little late, but better late than never.
The Daughters of the Revolution had a essay contest, and Dillon won 2nd place.  He was super happy, especially after he realized he got a cash prize.
We tease him that the only reason why he won 2nd was because only two people entered.  It's not true and we really are proud of him.  He also received 3rd at the Science fair, but I didn't get any pictures of that.  Awesome mom that I am.
My Aunt Kit arranged for my grandma and Aunt Carry to come and visit.  There were at my mom's house for a couple of days so we cruised over there for a day to hang out with them.  We never see them enough!
Truman is sporting his footy pajamas, to his school pajama party.  We tried to talk him out of them.  I put this picture in here just to embarrass him in the future.
Elleree received a quilt from my mom for Christmas this last year.
My mom finally just got it all done and it is amazing.  Elleree was very pleased!

Orlando

At the end of February Jason and I took a little vacation to Orlando, Florida.
Jason had a pharmacy conference there for three days.  I just went along for the ride, and to get away for a bit.
Our hotel was amazing, even if it was a little out in the middle of nowhere.
While Jason was in his conference I wondered around the resort.  I spared you the selfies that I took along the way, you will have to see them on my instagram.  I got a little bored okay.
The days were cold, so no laying by the pool. The first two days I was okay but by the third day I had to get out.  So I took cab to a flee market, which was much more fun.
Every night after the conference Jason took me out.  We went to Downtown Disney and ate there.
One night we went to Cirque Du Soleil.  It was Jason's first time seeing any of their acts, so that was fun.

The second to last day were went to Disney World, Epcot.  This picture reminds me of a picture at Mount Rushmore.  We asked a lady to take our picture......
Some how she missed the huge ball we were posed in front of.  I guess you get what you pay for, right?
Mickey let me kiss him because I fixed his shoe.
Jason tried to kiss Minnie but that was a no go.
I am going to keep it real for you, I don't think I will ever take my kids to Epcot.  It was kind of boring.  I say stick with Disneyland and Califormia Adventures.  Disney World is overrated!

The counties around the world were interesting, but the kids would have been bored out of there minds.  What am I saying I was almost bored out of my mind.  The only way Jason and I made it through was by making sure we tasted a food from every country and had a scavenger hunt looking for the pressed penny machine in every country.  By the end of the day we were sick and had lots of smashed pennies.
This is Jason in front of Canada.
The last day we were there we went to Universal Studio, Island of Adventure.  I am not a huge roller coaster fan, but Jason got me to ride all the rides but one.  I even went on the Hulk twice.  I'm kinda a rock star.
I liked this sign, they had some pretty funny ones!
They had Jurasic Park, Spider Man, Popeye.....tons.  I am soaked in this picture, from two rides we went on before.  We had excellent whether while at both parks.  Not to hot, but not cold.
They have an amazing Harry Potter land, it was awesome.  Needless to say I would so take my kids to this park!  They would love it!
We ended the day at Dr. Seuss land.  It is so cute I wanted to just stay there.
Our trip was fabulous, a much needed break.  We had a chance to relax and unwind something we haven't gotten to do, with just the two of us, in a long time.
Thanks Kay and Mom for watching the kids for us.  I don't think they even missed us!

Jason Has a Birthday

In February Jason became a year older.
He doesn't really like regular birthday cake, so he gets an angle foodcake.
 It's beautiful I know!
This is a bad picture, but it is how it is.  Beckett and Elleree get so excited they can't keep still.
Jason is sporting his horrible mustache.  Don't worry it's gone now, thank goodness!
He got some new luggage (for our trip), and a stow away.
He also got a new jacket.  He always has a ton of help opening his presents.  Happy Birthday baby-cakes!  I love you the mosterest.

Basketball 2014

The basketball season has come and gone, and we survived.  I actually really like basketball, but there are always exceptions it seems.

Truman is seriously the most painful child to watch play basketball.
He has still not figured out how to play.  Every time he got the ball he would do this, hold it protectively until someone took it away from him.
There were other times that he would jump up and down like he is about to in this picture.  They don't call traveling in this league, or he would have had it called every time.  Now you have to understand,  these things are things he would do, when he wasn't begging his coach to take him out because he was too tired.  Seriously painful!
Dillon on the other hand is a ton of fun to watch.  He gets the game, and may not be the best, but tries with all he's got.
His team was pretty good this year they only lost one game.  He is getting better at handling the ball and shooting.  I am proud of the way he gets the game.  He picks up on the other teams plays and uses it against them.
I know I should be a better mom and tell you both of them are fun to watch, but I'm not!  My kids can always count on me to be honest.  Basketball is not for everyone!  Maybe next year I will do myself the favor of not signing Truman up.

Valentine's Day 2014

My kids are so spoiled.  I swear there is not a holiday that goes by that they don't score big time.
This year, Jason got them each a valentine from See's candy, I got them candy like I always do in a their little mailbox, and my mom sent them a bag of goodies too.
We haven't even gotten rid of all the Christmas candy yet.
Truly I can't talk about the kids being spoiled because I am just as spoiled.  Jason got me a new set of serving dishes and new plates.  We have never had new plates.  We got the ones we have been useing from the DI when we got married.  They worked well for 14 years, but Jason said it was time, and who am I to argue!
I started have a valentine's party a few years back.  We have a chocolate fountain and just invite a few couples and their kids over to play games and have fun.
We always play the newly wed game, to see how many fights we can all get into before the night is over.  It's a good time!  Normally Jason and I score the lowest, even though we have been married the longest.  I don't know what that says about us, but each year we learn something new about each other.

Pinewood Derby 2014

Jason had his work cut out for himself this year.  He had both Dillon and Truman in the Pinewood Derby, so he had to make 2 cars.
I loved these pictures.  Jason needed all the help he could get, I'm just not sure this is what he had in mind.
Beckett on the other hand was loving it.  Jason is seriously the most patient dad ever!
Dillon's car won 3rd place he was pretty happy.
Truman's car lost every race, he was not very happy.  Such is life, you can't win everything.

I Turned Old

I have decided it is time to stop telling everyone how old I am.  I had another birthday on January 9th, and it was fabulous!
I went out to lunch with a few friends.  This is amazing because, as I have said before, I have had a hard time making friends.  These ladies put up with me and we have fun.
The kids all made me pictures and really the most wonderful presents ever!
Jason got me a new MP3 player to listen to my audio books on.  I was super excited!
Jason also made me a German chocolate cake which is my favorite, and they put a ton of candles on it.  I did have help blowing them out thank goodness.
Me with my little nut monkeys.  I can honestly say this was one of the best birthdays ever!

14 Years and counting

On the 30th of December Jason and I celebrated our 14th wedding anniversery.
This is us 15 years ago ready to go on a date.  No, Jason didn't always dress like a soldier for our dates, he is weird but not that weird.
A picture of us the night he proposed to me.
Our Wedding day December 30th 1999.

 On our honeymoon.

Fourteen years later.  We haven't changed a bit, okay Jason wears glasses now, but that is it!

I have to tell my husband how much I love him each year.  Yes, just once a year.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful companion.  He is a wonderful provider for our family, I take for granted how well he takes care of us, and how hard he works.  He is a fabulous father.  His kids adore him and know that he loves them.  He is a great husband.  He listens to me whine and complain, sometimes he falls asleep.  He is spread so thin with work, his calling and the kids but he always tries to make time for me.  I am spoiled rotten by him.  I love you Jason!
