Today I think I watched the stupidest Disney movie ever, The Apple Dumpling Gang. Seriously any plot that involves giving three kids to some man, (that nobody, including the kids knows) and expecting that everything will end up just hunky dory is just wrong. Tie that up with some good old fashioned slapstick comedy, that is in no way funny and you have the makings of this film. The only good part of this movie is that Bill Bixby is not to bad to look at. For our activity Jason cooked us an apple pie which was not too bad, especially compared to the movie. Top that off with some ice cream, and I just sat back and tried to enjoy the movie. (:

I remember seeing that movie (as well as apple dumpling gang II) in the theater. If I remember correctly we thought it was brilliant!!
Keep in mind that was back in the olden days when there was no such thing as video, so ANY jaunt to see a movie was an event to mark. This could have tainted our judgment.

Oh I have kinda given up on bedrest don't tell my mom!! Well not all the way but I have made it to the store a couple of times when Nate gives me the thumbs up. He has kinda taken that privilege away unless I am by myself. Oh, believe my carrying Tyler was so hard. I had to push a cart and carry him, while having contraction, ahh! I really hate contractions, they aren't as bad as labor contractions but the still suck.
Don't dump on the classics. Tell Jason good job on the pie and way to go making him get involved and help you out, you needed a night off to relax!! Love you!!
Yeah, I totally had a crush on Bill Bixby. I tried never to miss the courtship of Eddie's fater and I even watched when he was on the incredible hulk TV show "Don't get me angy - you don't want to see me angry".... Word to live by I'd say.
Now Don Knots was another story. Talk about a dweb. The only show that he was halfway decent in was Mr. Limpet. And in that he was an animated fish for the bulk of the movie.

Don Knotts is funny in the old B&W Andy Griffeth Show but a little of him goes a long ways. Bill Bixby IS not bad to look at. We did think it was funny when we were little but we pretty much loved any movie we got to see in the theater. Still your little Disney count down it totally fun!
I remember watching that movie multiple times as a kid. We recorded it on our fancy VCR. Love the theater chair!
