Slim Pickens

The day before Easter we went to Mackay.  We were going to participate in a Easter egg hunt in Idaho Falls, but there was hurricane/tornado...okay just bad weather, so we brought the Easter egg hunt to my parents yard instead.  Jason was so cute he went out and hid like a million eggs in the yard so the kids could find them.  Funny thing was that after they found them, they begged him to hide them again.  Jason came up with the idea for them to each take a turn hiding them and finding them.  They spent the rest of the day doing just that.  Kids crack me up!
It took Elleree a really long time to figure out what she was supposed to do.  My mom took her around though and helped her.
When the time came she was not afraid to tackle Dillon, so that Elleree could get the egg.
Like I said it took her awhile to get the hang of it, it could be right in front of her and she still wouldn't get it.
Truman was a bit better, but not much.  Let's just say Allison's kids ended up with more eggs than mine.
Dillon just followed the girls around and tried to race them.
Jason walked around with the kids to make sure they got all of them.
Truman's pride and joy!

As I look really closely at those pictures I remember all the fun we had in your yard when we were little. Is that the same Truck that has always been there in the neighbors yard I would have thought that thing would have died by now!

Good thing Grandma is there to show Miss Elleree the way and keep the big brothers from torture.

It is great they played finding them for so long.

Now that's the way to have an Easter egg hunt! With racing, grandma's and not 7 million kids in a city park.
Looks like they all had a blast.
Truman Does seem pretty jazzed about his find...What a grin:0)

That's how we always did it growing up. Hide them, and rehide them all day long. In fact we would do it for days (and still eat the eggs) amazing we didn't die of food poisoning or botulism! Hiding eggs is always fun! In all the time growing up we never went to one town egg hunt though.

I love the picture of your Mom tackling Dillon! Sweet little Elleree...seriously, sometimes the things we do can't make much since to the little ones....picking up eggs, men dressed in red visitng me at night, etc. Bless their hearts :)
