Beckett had been sick for a couple of days. I stayed up with him all Wednesday night and by 5:00 am Thursday morning it was evident that he was in respiratory distress and needed care that I could not give him. So I headed to the ER.
They admitted him and ran the gamut of tests they run and came to the conclusion that it was a virus and we were going to just have to wait it out. So we did. Thursday night was the worst, it was touch and go on whether he was going to go on a ventilator. Side note, turns out my acne is triggered by stress, just thought I'd share. Beckett held his own, and made it through, after that night he slowly improved.
These are pictures of Monkey man this morning after a much needed bath. He looks good, right!

i'm so glad that he is doing better. It just breaks your heart to see him in that hospital bed, but thank goodness we have them.
I'm so sorry! Glad he is feeling better. Hopefully you will be done with the hospital visits for a LONG time! He is one cute kid though!
O. My. Gosh.
I'm tearing up just thinking of this for you all again.
You must be exhausted.
That picture of him grinning with all the tubes is amazing. He must be such a little sweetie.
As for the acne... you are entitled to a few stress zits. My word! Maybe a whole field given your stresses over the years.
My prayers now are for everyone to STAY well. Wish I could have been closer to help.
ps.
(Bronchitis is what I had, and the reason I didn't come visit... the irony)
So glad that he is doing better (he sure looks it in those last pictures). How stressful for you though. Had I known I certainly would have added my prayers to everyone elses. I'm thinking if I had to go through even half what you have I'd be a basket case by now. You are one strong woman! Hang in there cutie!
Well Jeeze Louise! What an ordeal. I'm SO sorry for the stress, strain and zit situation. I'm so glad to hear he's doing better. Your mom IS a real trooper. I'll keep you all in my prayers.
I'm thinking you win the gold medal for most valiant use of acne to survive the pernicious onslaught of children induced stress.
Just saying.
