Redfish 2012

Every year we go and this year was no exception.  Redfish is a tradition that has been in my family since before I was born.
We get together as many friends and family as we can then we camp, ski and eat, not always in that order though.
This year we are trying to get Truman up on two skies.

He is a big chicken, he gets up, like in this picture and then would just sits back down and lets go of the rope.
My dad didn't get to ski this year, he just finished a round of chemo, and was pretty tired.  We were just glad he was there.
Dillon has been trying really hard to get up on one ski, so I decided to let him try wake boarding.  I don't want my kids to wake board until after they learn how to ski, because if they do, they will see how much easier it is and not what to skiing anymore.  Skiing takes a lot more energy, balance, and coordination than wake boarding.
Dillon never understood what I meant by it being easier, until he tried it himself.  He popped right up the first time, now he understands.  He says he still wants to water ski, but can he please have a wake board for his Christmas or Birthday present.  Didn't see that one coming.

My aunt and uncle always try to come and some of my cousins ( the ones we grew up with and are really close to) were able to make it too.  It is always fun with them.  This is a picture of one of my cousins Darcie, and her newest baby Megan.
Playing all day in the water and the sand are a must, especially for the kids....and Jason.
Beckett was not really a fan of either, but he would have his moments.
My cousin brought this huge tube thing.  It was a ton of fun.
Jason was the first person to ever successfully flip the whole thing over and have all the riders fall off.  He is kind of a crazy driver, but it was great.
We celebrated my brother Ivan's birthday while we were there, and Truman ate some cake.  Don't worry he only threw up once in the tent.
Sometimes it is very exhausting having so much fun.
This is just a good picture of my cute husband in his orange J town sweat shirt.  Go Jerome.......
Paisley (Ivan's daughter) got to come.  She and Elleree were funny together.  Elleree is almost a year older than Paisley, but they are almost the same height.  Paisley's little attitude just cracks me up.
The trip turned out better than I expected and, for the most part, it was great to see all my family.

I LOVED my day up there with you. Thank you for the personal tour.

I can still hear Truman remarking "My life is GOOD" as he squeezed his Cheezwhiz on a cracker sitting in a chair.
Too funny.

I miss my redfish days too, but those are long gone.
Glad you still have some good days there.

Those are the kinds of traditions that are the best! Creates fantastic memories and builds relationships. Looks like this year was no exception.

Glad Randy was there and all the kiddos survived being drug around the lake...water torture in it's finest form.
