Two weekends ago was our Stake Conference. Normally Jason and I drag our kids and ourselves for that matter, to the two hours of pure awsomeness. This time we went to the adult session the night before and felt like we were good to go. So instead of conference we took the kids on an "adventure".
Jason packed a lunch and we went for a drive through the foothills around here.
Our car got a little dusty it needs to say "wash me".
The ultimate destination was Balance Rock. It was a bit of a up hill climb, but not bad.
This time I left Jason with the two youngest. Hey at least it isn't snowing and freezing like it has been when he has left them to me.
The boys were brave and climbed all the way to the top.
Mean while Jason is still climbing. I tell you it is not easy with these two. I felt good about it though, he needs a little taste of what I normally do on our "adventures".
Finally they all made it and I took their cute picture.
The "adventure" took all day and it was nice to spend time as a family, even if we were playing hooky.

What a great adventure. Kudos to you for sharing the "watch the kids" load. too.
The kids look super happy to be at the top.
Fun fun. I'm jealous.
thanks for sharing.
Oh that DOES look like fun! Even with the trailing hubby and kiddos. Looks like you had nice weather too. Gotta take the time while the weather lasts I say!
(the sat night sessions are usually the best anyway :0)
I am loving Jason with the little ones! Good for him:) Family that plays together stays together!!
I'm sure it was family time well spent and will last longer in the kids memory than anything that happened at stake conference! What an awesome adventure. Cute family photo!
