Jason had Memorial Day off, so he decided to take us on another of his "adventures".
We went to City of Rocks over by Okley, and Albion.
There were a ton of neat rock formations.
For the life of me I'm not sure how they came up with the names of some of them though.
The kids had a good time exploring. They found this caterpillar.
They also found lots of lizards, but didn't catch any much to Dillon's frustration.
There were wild flowers everywhere.
Truman decided to pick me one of every kind of flower he could find. I took a picture of my beautiful bouquet, then I promply threw them out. I'm a good mom like that.
I got tiered of pictures with everyone else, so once again I played with the timer.
I decided I need a tripod.
Beckett found this horse by one of the rocks, we asked everyone around if it was theirs and it was not. So we took it with us. Jason took some "action shoots" with it. He was really pretty proud of them, crack me up.
Beckett did like the horse though.
I think it ended up in every picture of him from then on.
The place where we had our picnic was a fun place for the kids to climb around and explore.
Jason did a pretty good job with this "adventure" sorry to disappoint any of you.

What a cool place. Heard of it but never been. You guys DO go on some great adventures. Your kids will always remember that! Awesome photos. The weather looks great there already. We are still in the rainy season (and no, that isn't all year round!)
Hooray for a good adventure! Beckett just looks so happy with that horse. The action shots of it are awesome. Love all the pictures and that you were able to sneak into some of them. A tripod is awesome to have, but kind of a pain to lug around. So, if you get one make sure it folds up nicely.
Great outing! We saw a TON of those yellow ones, arrowroot balsam I think they are called at Antelope where we went on our Memorial day outing. I love the early wildflowers. Well, I love all of em really :0) But they do not last in a bouquet so, NO you are not a bad mom.
I too love the little photo montage Jason took. that IS one nice looking horse no wonder Beckett was so taken with it.
Nice photos of a fun outing.
Those rocks are Cool! Your propped timed camera poses are Awesome, Good on Ya!! Miss you!
