Football 2013

Another season of Football is underway.  Have I mentioned before that I am not a huge fan of Football?  Well I am not!  I don't really understand, or care to understand the game!  Truman is in flag Football and Dillon is doing tackle.

I don't think we will put Truman in Football next year.  I think he feels the same way I do about the game.  He spent most of his time like this, on the sideline.
He did have a few times where he actually did what he was supposed to do.
Mostly it is just painful to watch, if he was not my kid it may have even been funny.
Dillon is playing in the big time now.  Truth be told I am the worst parent ever.
Half of the time I can't figure out where or which one he is. And the other half of the time I don't go to his games. He is number 46.
That is the reason I didn't get very good pictures of him.   I never did get a picture of him doing anything but standing out by himself, because I couldn't find him.  Needless to say I will never be a sports photographer.
So, I had to write about this.  Dillon got last pick for his practice jersey and ended up with one that didn't fit at all.  He couldn't get out of it without help it was so tiny.
Being the awesome mom I am, I bought him a jersey, they didn't sell yellow.  So I spray painted it yellow.  I know it's totally white trash, but it works, and fits much better.  Dillon says the kids on his team now call him spray paint.

Hey Mom of Spray Paint,
I think you are fabulous!
This made me laugh out loud, in a good way.
I think football is a barbaric sport, second only to boxing and rugby so I can understand your disinterest.

How cool that Dillon has a nickname. That is super cool! It will probably stick with him--in a good way. What a cleaver, cleaver girl you are. I actually don't mind football--but that may be because I understand the game. Don't ask me how or why that came to happen. However, that being said, it is not a sport I would want any of my boys to play. With Tucker & Spencer it really wasn't an issue--they are not exactly built for football. Cooper...well, I can see the Ballard high school football recruiters salivating over him for the Freshman football team. Luckily, he currently is only interested in soccer & golf! He's an awesome goalie. Phew!

Well Geeze! I SWEAR I left a comment... but then I swear about a lot of stuff.
Truth be told you are an amazing parent. The photo of Truman pushing against the taller boy does crack me up.
I am not a fan of football and was not disappointed when Jaron decided he didn't want to play anymore. I think he enjoyed it for awhile.
Dillon looks quite grown up in his nifty yellow jersey -spray paint can be womans best friend. There are MUCH worse names than spray paint. You ARE a clever beast Missy.
