Disneyland

This is the longest post ever. I hope that it doesn't bore everyone. Mainly I wanted to docutment our trip. Here are the kids on the drive. The first day we drove to Prim, NV and stayed at Buffalo Bills and went shoping at the outlet mall there. The next day we set out again this time to Disneyland. We got there and checked into the Hotel.
We went to Downtown Disney to go looking through the shops, and pick up our free stuff. We got a Disney Credit Card for this trip. It turns out you get tons of free stuff and special things that are offered only to the card holders. We got free lanyards, pins, pictures, backpack, discouts and all sorts of other stuff.
So, this trip was with a ton of other people. We had our friends Jamie and Tanya with their kids,(Adessa, Jordon, Morgan) Jamie's Sister Dannai her son (Micheal), Jamie's mom (Annie), Jamie's uncle (Joe), Jamies other sister Shannon her daughter (Alexadra). Then there was Jamie and Tanya's friend Jason his son (Hunter), then Jerry who is friends with all of us. This is a picture with some of the kids.
We went to the Build a Bear Workshop where Truman and Elleree built a dog and bear (Bruno the Bat dog, and Minnie Elleree) Dillon didn't want one, he got a tiger from Indiania Jones when we got into the Park.

We went to Goofy's Kichen to eat that night. We meet a ton a of charcters there. The kids got pictures and autographs from Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Aladdin. They got to go out and "do the twist" with Goofy, and they also got to help him cook. We had a really good time!
The first morning didn't start out very well. Dillon had a fever and was throwing up all night. So I stayed at the Hotel and Jason took Elleree and Truman out. They spent the morning in fantasy land and part of fontier land. They rode all the rides there and met some characters.
Elleree and Truman in front of the White Rabbit's house in Alice in Wonderland.
That afternoon Dillon was feeling better so we set out to the park. We rode all the ride we could in frontier land, and adventure land. We even made it over to Tomorrow land and rode a few rides there. The boys got to build there own light sabers that night.

This was the only time Elleree let me put her down. She really liked to play with the wheel.
The Haunted Mansion, they decorate it in the theme of Nightmare Before Christmas, for Halloween.

At the end of the first night we got our pictures taken at the entrance to the park. They had some amazing decorations for Halloween!

On the second morning we got to enter Mickey's Toon Town an hour before everyone else, because of the credit card. We got to see a little performance with Mickey's gang and then go through Mickeys house where Donald, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Goffy and Mickey were. Then we rode some rides before everyone else showed up.
The boys both had to have Mickey ears and we got them a lollypop too. They only lasted about two seconds before they were done with both. We spent until noon at Disneyland and then I headed back to the Hotel so Elleree could have a nap. The Boys headed to California Adventures to ride some rides, until we met back up.
We got "preferred seating" to the Pixar parade, because of the card as well. It was actully reall cool. We got to sit on these benches where no one else was allowed, and watch the parade without anyone in front, or behind us. The kids loved it, and the charaters payed special attention to them because they were the only ones there.
I had to go back to the hotel early that night because Truman and Elleree were tired. This is how I pushed them both through the park that night. Truman wanted to stop for some ice cream, so after waiting in line for a half hour we were almost ready to get our ice cream and I look down and they are both asleep. Needless to say we didn't have ice cream that night.
Next morning was California Adventures. Dillon and Jason stayed that moring in Disneyland so the Dillon could go to the Jedi training. He had a blast, I guess they get to learn how to fight the bad guys in Star Wars. Elleree wanted to ride the Carousel and loved every minute of it! The boys thought it was lame, but she loved it and wanted to go on it again.
The boys next to the Cars characters at California Adverntures. They went off to ride some "cool" rides, because Elleree wasn't big enough to ride them. She and I went to the Bugs Life section where she could ride most of the rides, and had fun without them.
Picture with Snow White at California Adventures. The only girl that the boys would get their pictures taken with. Scratch that, Dillon wouldn't get in the picture, Dillon said " We don't care about Princesses." After California Adventures closed that night we went back over to Disneyland, but I ended up having to take Elleree and Truman back to the Hotel early because Truman threw up in line. He and Elleree ended up being really sick that night and throwing up all over the room. We woke up the next morning and checked out of the hotel, to start our trip home.
We went to Newport Beach with the the kids, I got to play with the kids in the ocean and teach them how to body surf, it was soo much fun! Alot of things are not as much fun when you get older as they were when you were a kid, but for me playing in the waves in not one of them.
My favorite picture, Dillon with his hands down his pants, love it!
After the beach we headed home. We spent 4 hours in heavy traffic and finally made it to our hotel in St. Gorge, where I vomited in the bushes like a drunk. For some reason I got really sick that night. We woke up the next day and went to Tai Pan. Then we set out for home with a historic stop at Fort Cove, which was really cool. We finally made it home about 11:00 pm that night. What a trip! Tons of things have changed since I was last at Disneyland (the parking lot being turned into California Anventures being one) but it was still alot of fun. A little smaller than I remember, but alot of fun.

1st Day of Disney

So, the last movie on the list is The Little Mermaid, one of my favorites (don't mock me). This movie was released in 1989, really, I had no idea. Anyway, I am putting it on here today, because we are leaving tomorrow ( a day ealier that was planed) to visit some of Jason's family. This movie will be watched in the car while eating Goldfish (did you know the come in all sorts of flavors now, love them) and Swedish fish. Lame I know, but you can only do what you can with what you have to work with. Wish us luck at Disneyland. Please keep us in your prays that there will be no trips to the emergency room!

2nd Day of Disney

Tonight was National Treasure 2, Book of Secrets, night. We had yet another treasure hunt, at Dillon's request because this was his movie night. This one differed from the other one because all the clues were in code. Dillon and Truman had to decode all the messages before they could search for the next clue. I found this great girl scout web site that allowed you to print off a code, and then write whatever, and it would encode it for you, and then all you have to do is print it off too. I love the internet! Notice Truman has not yet gotten out of his PJ's I am best mom, hey he's sick right.

3rd Day of Disney

Yesterday was 3 days until we leave for Disney. We watched The Nightmare Before Christmas. The night went something like this: Went to friends house to paint pumpkins well Dillon did, Truman said "it takes too long" and Elleree seemed to think the object was to paint the plate that had the paint on it. We then watched the movie, halfway through Truman came down with a fever, came home, Truman threw up. Then Elleree came in, smelled and saw vomit and decided to vomit herself. That is when I jump out a window. Okay..... that last part isn't true, but all the rest is. In my house hold the flu, sick season has begun. Yet another thing I am not ready for.

Found Hat

I found this hat that my way cool auntie made for my niece, but does not fit her any more. Guess who it does fit? Okay, you don't have to guess because it may be too hard. Look how cute it looks on her! I know, you are thinking it is cold enough for hats already, and the answer is yes (with a sigh). Anyway I wanted said auntie to see how cute it is still the second time around. Plus I can't forget to tell her other auntie thank you for passing it on!

4th Day of Disney

Yesterday was quite the day. We had a treasure hunt with the kids. I was really proud of them they found most of the clues all by themselves. The treasure at the end was Ring Pops. I will tell you, I love strawberry Ring Pops! My friends little girl does too because she kept using it as a Binky, it was hilarious! We had a little Wendy's for dinner, the school was having a fundraiser. Then we finished off the evening by watching the Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End. I never realized how long that movie is. Everything seems longer when you want to put your kids to bed though!

5th Day of Disney

Tonight's movie of choice, the Jungle Book. We went over to our friends' house, the people who we are going to Disneyland with. Jamie, the Dad, is the one who came up with the 12 days of Disney. They go to Disneyland like once a year, they love it. Any way we watched the movie and ate banana splits. Elleree, as you can see was more interested in their cat than doing either. Oh well, what can you do.

6th Day of Disney

Today I think I watched the stupidest Disney movie ever, The Apple Dumpling Gang. Seriously any plot that involves giving three kids to some man, (that nobody, including the kids knows) and expecting that everything will end up just hunky dory is just wrong. Tie that up with some good old fashioned slapstick comedy, that is in no way funny and you have the makings of this film. The only good part of this movie is that Bill Bixby is not to bad to look at. For our activity Jason cooked us an apple pie which was not too bad, especially compared to the movie. Top that off with some ice cream, and I just sat back and tried to enjoy the movie. (:

First Snow

And so it begins. This is my back yard when I woke up this morning. Like every year I am not sure if I am ready for the long winter ahead! Be that as it my, it is here whether I am ready or not!

Turkeys Welcome

Yesterday, my mom and I started a project while listening to conference. We made these cute turkeys. They are going to be mounted on a big stick so they can sit outside our house. They say Turkeys Welcome on them. Did we do awesome or what? The real question is, can you tell which one is mine and which one is my mom's? Give up? Mine is the one on the right, the one with the abnormally big eyes.

7th Day of Disney

Today was a great day. We watched Chicken Little, ate chicken nuggets and boiled eggs (a bit morbid I know), and made bag puppets of the characters in the movie. Dillon made the little baby alien, and Truman made fish out of water. "It's not the winning that counts, it's the nah, nah, nah, nah taunting that goes with the winning that matters."

8th Day of Disney

I know what you are thinking, what happened to the 9th day of Disney? Well my husband didn't want to play. He was home for the day and decided he wanted to take the boys to a football game instead. I hate football, (I know it's blasphemy) and hate being cold so Elleree and I went shopping instead. We got some cute cloths, but no 9th day of Disney. :[

For the 8th day of Disney we went out to dinner and ate Chinese food. These are our fortunes. Which I think are very fitting. Then we came home and watched Mulan. My mom was here for the weekend, so she came with us. I was singing along with my favorate song ("I make a man out of you") and she was makeing fun of me. All and all it was good times.

Yoga

So, I said before that I have been doing Yoga right. Well yesterday the kids decided to do some with me. I think Elleree is especially good and downward facing dog. She is so going to be a future Yoga instructor if the disappearing down the shirt gig does not work out!

10th Day of Disney

Yesterday's movie was Mary Poppins. This is one of my favorites, I sing along with all the songs (Don't judge me). The kids had never seen it before, and technically still haven't because they fell asleep during the bird lady song (feed the birds Tupins a bag, you know, you know the song). Anyway our activity was going outside and drawing with sidewalk chalk. We had a lot of fun! No scences that you could actually jump into, but the kids are true sidewalk artists. I know that fying a kite would have been fun, but it is cold, and not very windy this time of year. Let's go fly a kite, up to the hightest hight........
