Dillon's Baptism

I seems crazy to me, but after all is said and done, I am old enough to have a child who is baptized.
We have only been in this ward for a month, so it was pretty hairy getting things arranged so that he could get baptized on the 4th of June but we made it happen.

What a cute little pair!  I am very grateful that Jason was able too baptize Dillon.  It seems to be something that I take for granted, that Jason has the Priesthood.  But I am grateful he is worthy to perform the ordnance's and blessing that we need!
Yes, I am a bit out of place without my white jumpsuit, but I am confident that they look much better in them than I would!
Thanks to all the family and friends that were able to make it!  I know that it is sometimes hard to travel the distance, but we appreciate the effort and the support!  This is the first time in quite a while that me and my three siblings have all been together at the same time!  It was fun!
You can't really see it in this picture but Jason is holding Elleree.  Turns out the day before she broke her leg jumping on the trampoline.  Awesome.
Alli was able to come and stay for a couple of days, not long enough, but it never is.  Rylie was amazing with Beckett.  She could always get him to stop crying, and a couple of times she got him to sleep.  No small feat considering he is a major momma's boy, and he is almost as big as she is.  I love Eli in the background in his diaper pushing the stroller.
This is our trash can after our neighbors dog decided to knock it over. It was spread all over our yard but I got most of it cleaned up before I thought to take a picture.  He did it one more time before I was smart enough to put it in the garage.  Some would say that  I'm a fast learner, and they would  be right.

Another Graduation

Yes, another graduation, Kindergarten that is.  Tuesday was Truman's big day, so cute.
They did a super fun programs with lots of songs.  My favorite was Tootie-Ta.  I make him do it all the time at home now.  Next time you see him ask him about it.
Of coarse they asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up.  Some said whatever their dads were, a lot said they wanted to be vegetarians that was pretty funny.  Truman said he wanted to be a firefighter.  I don't know where that came from but hey, whatever.
Truman alternated between picking his nose and sticking his hands down his pants.  I was such a proud parent.  I just wish Jason could have been there.

What a trip

So we planned a trip to Mackay on Memorial weekend.  Problem was, you guessed it the whole week before the kids were sick.  I ended up getting it on Friday night (after Elleree spent the whole day sitting on my lap coughing in my face).  Saturday was miserable because I was sick and it was Elleree and Beckett's worst day yet so we decided not to go.  Then Sunday we woke up and the kids were fine, I was still the only one sick.  Needless to say that was not enough of a deterrent for Jason, so off we went.  Monday the kids had a great day.  That Morning he took the kids fishing.
They spent the day playing outside.  Then that evening we had a BBQ, and roasted marshmallows on my mom's new fire pit we got her for Christmas.  To answer your question, no I did not get dressed that day, remember I was sick.
Notice how I said mom's fire pit, because we gave it to both my parents, but my dad did not want it.
No, this is not my dad mad because the fire pit burned a spot on the deck, because it did.  He just always looks like this.
The kids enjoyed themselves.  Turns out you can make some pretty good smores using Oreos and marshmallows instead of the usual ingredients.  Just so you know.
As we were leaving a moose decided to take a little jaunt through the tourist park.
I have never seen a moose in the tourist part before, it was kind of cool.

New Pool

First beautiful summer day.  Kids wanted a pool, so we went and got this little one.  Dillon asked if I thought he weighed too much to go down the slide.  Really Dillon?  I don't think weight is the issue here.

This is the neighbor's dog Sammy.  She is really sweet and Elleree loves her.  She just cruises around.

Why aren't muffin tops cute on me, like they are on little kids?

All in all it was a good start to summer, in this new house!

The Traveling Stye and Other Adventures

Okay so it has been so long since I last blogged that I didn't want to blog because it would take too long. It would take too long so I didn't blog, and more time passed and it was a victious cycle. You get it. So.......I decided to aproach it speed dating fashion. Only we will call it speed blogging you get the idea.

Truman Spring Soccer.
He had some mad kicking skills.  Only one meltdown, that might have been because he thought I left him.
Dillon, playing his very best.  Not real impressed with Twins soccer program.  Lets just say the skill level of his age group was not much better than Truman's and leave it at that.

Then there was Easter and the usual dieing of the eggs.
No Easter would be complete without it.
Beckett even had to get in on the action.  He is becoming quite the grabby trixy boy.
Elleree is a master dier.

The finished product, complete with heart stickers.  Don't ask.
Easter morning, looking for hidden baskets.
Where could they be, I mean we only have like one place to hide them.
Grandma came and helped with the festivities.  She spoiled the kids.
The Easter bunny left one happy little girl.
Fast forward to our trip to Colorado.  Grandma treated all of us to pedicure, including all the little girls.  I loved the panda chair.  The trip was a success aside from a few things.  I had a stye that kept traveling from one lid of my eye to the other lid.  And...

Beckett and Elleree both got really sick, and I almost had to take Beckett into the hospital. Almost didn't get to go to Abby's baptism.  These are the only pictures I got of the trip because it was so crazy.

Came back I got sick.  Moved from one rental house to the another.

Out with the old in with the new.  This house is like three times the size and has a yard.  So far I am loving it.

Dillon had is eighth birthday party.

One with the family.
He got lots of presents, and still "didn't get everything he wanted".  What do you do?

One with friends too.

The theme was Thor, they went to the movie.  Loveing the back yard.

Had some pizza and had a good time I think.  As always Beckett needed to get in on the action.

Now you are officially up to date.  Give or take a few things.  Hopefully I will be able to get settled and get things back to normal.  If things are ever normal around here.

Just Kidding

You know how a couple of posts ago I said nothing turns out the way we plan.  Yeah it happened again.  I went to the rental house for the first time during the day, without the owner, to measure the windows for curtains and guess what.  It smells like cigarette smoke, or should I say it still smells like cigarette smoke.  The landlord assured us that he could get the smell out.  No he did not.  So long story short we are not moving, into that house.  So starts the search for a new rental.  I will not cry, because I am convinced something else will come along... right?

On a better note, I got Elleree's three year old pictures taken and Beckett's four month (should have been three) pictures taken today.  Here are some of the ones I picked.

The lady who was taking the pictures kept calling her pretty, pretty, princess.  It really got on my nerve.
Notice I said nerve, because I only have one left now.
She was really good, cheesy but good. Sure I had to bribe her with bubble gum, but I'm not above bribery!
This one reminds me of Truman at that age.
He discovered his tongue this weekend and has been playing with it ever since.
My serious little handsome man.  This picture reminds me of Jason's mom he looks alot like her is this picture.

Good news

I am so excited.  We just got the keys to our new rental house.  This one (hopefully) is not going to get foreclosed on!  It is bigger, and get this Beckett is going to have his own room.  I know, you are excited for me too.

Last Thursday we had parent teacher conferences.  Both Dillon and Truman are doing very well, bless their little harts.

This weekend I took another trip to the old Mackay.  Cut out a few craft projects (stay tuned) and finished one:

How my mom could have first thought this penguin is not cute is beyond me.  I got this kit from http://wmcraftgoodies.blogspot.com she has some of the cutest stuff.  I bought the chick one too.  I can't wait to do that one with my friend.

Now for what I have been so excited for, for months.

Just when you thought I couldn't get any cooler I go and surprise you by making a hula-hoop.  Yes, that is right.  I watched a thing on PBS about how to make them awhile ago (did you know there is a national hula-hoop day) and ever since I have wanted to do it.  So finally I did.  I have had fun doing it, and so have the kids.  It's a little big for them, but that is okay.

Back by popular demand is Beckett

My mister man is getting good at sitting up all by himself.  Love him!
