Last night after before mentioned vomit episode I put the kids to bed and decided that I need to get some of my energy out. I don't know how to paint, or sculpt so I decided to sew. I don't sew very well, but I decided to make this skirt. I saw some girls in our ward that had something kind of like it last week, so I thought I would try it with some scraps I had. I am pretty proud of my efforts and it satisfied my need to create something. Elleree wore it to church today.

First off...I need to add you and Alison to my list of blogs I follow...because I follow :)
Love the skirt. I know what you mean about having to create something...I get that itch, too. It looks very cute:)
Look at you being all creative-without a pattern?? I don't know which I like better the major excitement in Elleree's expression or Dillon in the background getting in on the attention. Both are dang cute, I am glad you were able to find the outlet you needed.
Way cute! How clever you are! Elleree looks very adorable (even with the chin drool!) I really like the colors too. She is getting so grown up. Funny Dillon got in on the photo, surprised the little pukerman didn't too.
This is so fun! It reminds me of the tie skirts in the 70s. Made out of mens silk ties.
Very cute.
Making Something...sometimes anything is my way of calming, relaxing, venting, releasing, avoiding or any myriad of therapies. I totally understand. You did great.
Who says you don't sew well? Looks good to me.
I remember making Kelsey and tiered denim skirt that I then drizzled fabric paint all over (I'd seen on at the store like it). There's nothing like making something whether no matter what kind of "making". The skirt is very cute! I think Elleree seems resigned to the fact that Dillon will perpetually be hamming it up in the background if he can't be in the foreground.
Good times.
Super cute. Way to go. I don't think I've ever ventured to make a skirt without a pattern, but I have been making skirts because I can't find any cute ones for Katie at the store.
