I have decided to dedicate me blog to all the gross things that happen to me. Pictures of my kids teeth missing, vomit, and yes shingles. Okay maybe not, but I had to include this because nothing else is happening in my life.
In the course of moving I smashed my little toe like a million times. Don't ask how, it is kind of like when you bite your cheek, you just keep doing it. Any way long story short I was siting on the couch the other day and realized my nail was moving, a couple of days later a whole section of it dislodged it self from my toe, then yesterday the whole entire thing came off (well Jason, and Truman helped a bit). Truman accidentally kicked it and it was hanging by some skin, and my brave husband, who I have to say was totally grossed out, pulled the rest off for me. I have never lost a nail before, it is freaking me out, okay not really but it is kind of funny. I have so many questions. Will it grow back? Should I paint the skin, when I paint the rest of my nails, just so it looks normal? What if it is painful when it grows back? Oh well here is an awesome picture.

That WAS gross! I lost my big toenail once (while visiting Karen actually). Hurt like a... And yes they do grow back.
It is kinda gross. I think they sometimes grow back. I think Jeff lost one after his mission and it comes and goes I think. Hey you guys need to come hang out with me some day. Miss ya and love ya tons!
As the others said, it will grow back, unless you killed the root (usually takes surgery or that level of damage). I just think that it would be really cool if you damaged the bed and the root so that when it grew back it took on some mutated form. Can you imagine having an odd shape down there? Think how awesome it would be if it came in looking like an octopus with eight different pointy edges...
EWWWWWW! I'll hope for you that it grows back normally and nicely because I don't think you can survive summer without your flip flops.

How deep IS that hole? Could you pop a gem in there?. That would top polish hands down.

I admit it. That closeup of the little hole is, well, creepy. You could have a little alien world down there...or store your illegal stash of hallucigenic chemicals for snorting. (Are you flexible enough to get your toe to your nose? Hmmm..perhaps not whilst pregnant..)

But, I think when I clicked on your link and there was that hole magnified- a LOT - staring at me well...it had an impact.
As previously stated it "should" grow back unless severe root damage was done. You can hope for the cool pointy octupus growth - but don't count on it.
Hopefully something less painful will happen worth posting :0)
