This post is going to be really long, and all over the place so stay with me.
A couple weeks ago was Peyton's birthday. He is now 1 year old
Emily and Heath invited us to his party at the Outer Limits. The kids had a good time and got to see their cousins. We don't see them near enough.
Mr. man Peyton is the sweetest kid ever. He is the first kid I have ever seen who actually started gaging when they fed him his cake. It was hilarious.
Next up, spring break. We had big plans for spring break, big plans! But like most things these days they got smaller and smaller. We ended up going to Salt Lake City. We rented a room at the Holiday Inn Express where they have an indoor water park thing.
The first day we went to the Gateway and went to the planetarium, there. It was pretty cool and it was free. They had a lot of hands on things for the kids to do. As you can see Dillon and Truman both went to the moon. Separate trips
They did go to Mars together, it being further away and all.
The kids and I took some quizzes about the solar system, turns out I suck at questions about the solar system. Beckette is sitting in my new stroller, because we forgot pack one. I got a double umbrella one, and I totally dig it.
Next we went to the Discovery Center. I wish we had one of these near us. Elleree was cracking me up every time she opened this tube it would blow her away.
The kids didn't even see everything because they would spend so much time at just one station. We had to make them move to something else.
All the kids spent hours at this construction site.
Dillon, even at his "mature" age found some things to have fun doing.
After that we headed back to the hotel for endless swimming fun.
Next day was more swimming, going to the movie Rango "I personally was not a fan", and shopping at IKEA "no one else were fans".
We headed home the next day. Stopping at The Golden Spike National Park on the way. Don't throw rocks at me if I say it was lame! Now it was the off season so they didn't have the trains out doing the reenactment, so that is might have made it cooler. But really they don't even have the original ties, or the spike (would someone please explain why Stanford University has that). Whatever, the history is important, but I feel alot has been lost at this particular national site.

Don't laugh! This green spider, cricket looking thing is Elleree's Frog birthday cake.
I know just when you thought I couldn't get any cooler I produce something like this.
Elleree turned three and made out like a bandit. My mom took work off and they came over for the day. She finally got the dress up clothes I bought her when she was three months old. Hey she is my only girl and she is.....

Other big things happened on Elleree's birthday too. Beckette had his first rice cereal and our house was officially sold. Sigh.
Now this post is finally done. Yeah it put Beckett to sleep too.

I can't believe she is 3! Sad about the house, but there are lots in Idaho Falls for sale :) The kids are adorable and we miss you guys!
Loved the "longest post ever".
First... since I have never even seen Peyton it was great to see pics of him. HOw cute!
The trip to SLC seems like a big hit, and doesn't look like the Big Plans were missed by the kids at least.
Wish I could have come to Ikea with you!
The frog cake rocks. Period.
Elleree must be loving the vintage dress up clothes and wallowing in girlie heaven.
Mr Beckett getting all little manish. Do I see dimples?
I did not fall asleep.
ps. glad the house sold..wondering where you will land.
I'm totally jealous of your cake. I couldn't get even close to making something like that. Your spring break sounds fun. Ours was down-sized from St. George to home so you did better than I. Pretty princess. Beckette is growing so fast. Thanks for sharing Peyton. He's adorable
It was nice to see pictures of Peyton. He's definitely a cutie. Your SLC trip sounds like it was just the right amount of fun. My kids were always the opposite when we went to hands-on places they would only spend 3 seconds at a place and want to move on. We would have been done with the whole place in a 1/2 hour. I totally got that it was a frog--not sure where the self-dissing was coming from. It's an awesome cake & Elleree is a sweetheart. Diggin her bros in the crowns--where was Jason's? Not a boring post at all--at least you posted which is more than I can say!
What a fantastic post. Highs (outer space! Lows (sale of home - with a side of high?) Thrills! (train site - totally sarcastic there...) Chills -a chillastic froggie cake - love it!
And on another note...there IS someplace close that has hands on stuff for kiddos. At Twin there is a planetarium at the college that has a whole section devoted to kids hands on stuff. I was there several years ago with high school student (so kids) and it was a lot of fun. The also have some ropes courses and other team building stuff on that will be really fun for them in a few more years - when they are "mature".
Love the post. LOVE you!
Hurray for your house selling!!! Oh my heck your kids are cute! I can't believe your baby is growing so fast. And your little lady is 3 already!
Love it!! Fun!!
I definatly need more pictures of Beckett!!! So cute, and squishy...show me more, show me more!!
You've been busy!!! Looks like fun things going on over your way. Love the cake!
