Longest Post Ever

This post is going to be really long, and all over the place so stay with me.

A couple weeks ago was Peyton's birthday.  He is now 1 year old
Emily and Heath invited us to his party at the Outer Limits.  The kids had a good time and got to see their cousins.  We don't see them near enough.
Mr. man Peyton is the sweetest kid ever.  He is the first kid I have ever seen who actually started gaging when they fed him his cake.  It was hilarious.

Next up, spring break.  We had big plans for spring break, big plans!  But like most things these days they got smaller and smaller.  We ended up going to Salt Lake City.  We rented a room at the Holiday Inn Express where they have an indoor water park thing.
The first day we went to the Gateway and went to the planetarium, there.  It was pretty cool and it was free.  They had a lot of hands on things for the kids to do.  As you can see Dillon and Truman both went to the moon.  Separate trips

They did go to Mars together, it being further away and all.

The kids and I took some quizzes about the solar system, turns out I suck at questions about the solar system.  Beckette is sitting in my new stroller, because we forgot pack one.  I got a double umbrella one, and I totally dig it.

Next we went to the Discovery Center.  I wish we had one of these near us.  Elleree was cracking me up every time she opened this tube it would blow her away.
The kids didn't even see everything because they would spend so much time at just one station.  We had to make them move to something else.
All the kids spent hours at this construction site.
Dillon, even at his "mature" age found some things to have fun doing.
After that we headed back to the hotel for endless swimming fun.

Next day was more swimming, going to the movie Rango "I personally was not a fan", and shopping at IKEA "no one else were fans".

We headed home the next day.  Stopping at The Golden Spike National Park on the way.  Don't throw rocks at me if I say it was lame!  Now it was the off season so they didn't have the trains out doing the reenactment, so that is might have made it cooler.  But really they don't even have the original ties, or the spike (would someone please explain why Stanford University has that).  Whatever, the history is important, but I feel alot has been lost at this particular national site.

 Next

Don't laugh!  This green spider, cricket looking thing is Elleree's Frog birthday cake.
I know just when you thought I couldn't get any cooler I produce something like this.

Elleree turned three and made out like a bandit.  My mom took work off and they came over for the day.  She finally got the dress up clothes I bought her when she was three months old.  Hey she is my only girl and she is.....

S-p-o-i-l-e-d

Other big things happened on Elleree's birthday too.  Beckette had his first rice cereal and our house was officially sold.  Sigh.
Now this post is finally done.  Yeah it put Beckett to sleep too.

Ta Da

So I am kind of manic when it comes to doing crafts. When I do them I do a ton all at once. Here are some of the things I have been working on.This is my awesome attempt at weaving. They had this thing in the Family Fun Magazine on how to weave a rug using a hula hoop and old t-shirts. Anyway I used a embroidery hoop and made a basket instead of a rug. Yeah it's going in the garbage, but it was a cute idea.
These are little birds mom cut out for a friend and she had some left over. I think they turned out cute.

This is a little wall hanging Easter egg thing. I used rick-rack and button, I think it turned out cute too.

Theses are my cool bobble heads. Okay so I am no good with faces, or decorating eggs apparently! I can copy things, but coming up with my own is not such a good idea.
My mom was so awesome. She let me come down just for a day even though my kids were still sick. I was going crazy and had not been out of the house in like two weeks. She watched the kids while I worked on my projects.
I am very proud of my skirt. It turned out super cute, and I made up the ruffle at the bottom all by myself. The material is fun and out of control. Just the way I like it.
While I was making it I realized our room is the babies room, office, sewing/craft room, and exercise room. Yeah we used to have separate rooms for each of these things. We are good at downsizing!

Good for the soul.

Once again Allison rocks, and my blog background looks great! Thanks Sis.

Dillon just recently had one of those tough learning experiences. He decided that he wanted to participate in the science fair his school puts on. I told him he had to get help from his dad because there was no way I was going to do it. (Mother of the year award again) Anyway, he and Jason picked out a project, and proceeded to procrastinate completing it.

The night before the project was due Dillon, Jason and I were frantically making charts, writing project summaries and gluing things onto his display. It looked great, and for the amount of time spent on the whole project it was awesome!

He was really excited to enter it, because he thought he was definitely going to get a ribbon for his efforts.

Now you have to know Dillon. He is really smart, so most things come very easy to him, and if they don't he gets frustrated, and often times quits. Oh yeah and he hates loosing!

This is him at the fair when he saw he only got an orange ribbon, which everyone got for participating. Notice the awesome green ribbon on the one next to his. He He He He. Yeah he was really upset!

Jason and I had to explain to him that you don't always win everything you do. We also had to point out to him that he really didn't put that much effort into it, and procrastinated quite a bit. I hope that this proves to be something he takes to heart. Who knows? All I know is that sometimes not getting the ribbon is good for the soul.

A little comic relief!

My kids sometimes crack me up.....

Elleree colors these pictures every day.  So the other day she brings me one that looks kind of like this:

I (being the good parent I am) asked her what it was a picture of.  She looks at me with this disgusted look and says " it's just crayon marks mom" and walks away.  Dah what was I thinking!!!!

Truman is sooo good with Beckett.  A couple of days ago Beckett was crying and Truman was trying to make him happy, but having no luck.  Finally Truman comes to me and says "mom I know why Beckett is crying"  I say,  "why"  He says, " because he has those red dots all over his face like you do".  Nice!

Okay so Heath showed me this new app. for my phone and I had to share it.  It will take any person's face and make it really fat.  So I did it to my whole family.  Alli says they are disturbing, I laugh so hard that I almost pee my pants.  You decide.

Jason's is by far my most favorite!!!  Love you Honey.

I really like Truman's cool aid mustache!

Change of plans

These days it seems my life is filled with changes of "the plan".

We have tried to visit my parents in Mackay three times and either I have been sick,  the kids have been sick, or someone at my parents house is sick.  We changed our plans a couple of weeks ago and visited Jason's parents instead.  Jason's brother Jeff was there with his family, the kids love to play with their cousins and see grandma and grandpa here are a couple of pictures of that weekend.

Jason also celebrated a birthday in February.  Truman, Elleree, Beckett and I decided to take Jason a cake and balloons while he was at work.  The kids really enjoy visiting him, and it made his birthday a little more special.  Here is a picture of his birthday.

Another change of plan was we had to cancel Beckett's blessing.  So we rescheduled it for this last weekend on March 6th.  It was so wonderful to see how many people were willing to come.  Some of the roads were not very good and yet they still roughed it.

Jason's parents and his sister came over on Saturday to watch the boys play in their last basketball games.  Dillon played awesome he made like 7 baskets.  He was on fire. Truman has yet to master the game.  5 minutes after the game started he was asking us when he could go home.

It turns out blessing your baby is like having a baby shower.  Beckett got so many gifts!  My Aunt Kit made him the cutest blanket, Crazy lady gave him a monkey onesie (might I add here how smoking hot she looks, she has been working hard) , Roberta made a sweet wall hanging that I love.  Our friends R-Jay and DeAnna came with there two munchkins bearing gift.  Some of my cousins came and so did Heath and Emily, with Peyton.  It was so nice to spend time with everyone.

This is what Elleree is always doing to poor Beckett.  It is a good thing that he is such a good natured baby!

Elleree decided to help herself to my lipstick that morning.  Kids!

Last change of plan was that right when Jason and I were coming to the realization that our house was not going to sell and we started to make other plans.  We got and offer, so for better or worse our house in Idaho Falls is gone.

I decided on a new plan.........I am no longer going to make plans!

This weeks update

Let us review this weeks adventures.

Yesterday, Sunday, we had to cancel Beckett's baby blessing because said little boy was sick again and he had to go to the hospital again.  Thanks Grandma for calling everyone and telling them it was canceled!

I was glad I was the one staying home with Beckett, because I would have been really embarrassed at church.  They got up and announced we were blessing him, Jason had to walk all the way to the front and explain to the bishop, who is like half deaf that we weren't going to bless him, Awkward!

Saturday they let Beckett out of the hospital.  They gave him the cutest little turtle thing for his respiratory treatments.  You can see it is tiny and he is a little turtle!
Our neighbors from Idaho Falls also came and visited us.  We sat and shot the breeze while the kids played.  It was really nice to see our friends.  I miss them like crazy!

Friday I took Beckett to the doctor because he was grunting when he was breathing and had stopped eating.  I was really proud of myself for not waiting and having to go to the ER that night or on Saturday.  I thought I would nip it in the bud and make it so we didn't have to end up in the hospital.  Ha Ha Ha.  Silly rabbit tricks are for kids.  Luckily this time it was only for one day.

Thursday I took Truman and Elleree to the doctor because Truman had been sick with a fever since the previous Sunday and Elleree had the same fever since Tuesday.  Turns out they had strep throat poor bugs.

The rest of the week was spent handing out medicine and doing my awesome crafts:

These are my decorative balls made out of cupcake liners.  I know what you are thinking (Why?).  Yeah well I am going half crazy, and need things to do even if it is making things out of cupcake liners!

This is my Valentine's Day wreath made out of felt.  I decided I like felt.  It was supposed to be made in the shape of a heart, but Twin Falls awesome craft stores don't have hart shaped Styrofoam.  Whatever.

This is a protective case I made for my new iPhone.  Yeah after I was bragging about how my cheap flip phone was indestructible, I dropped it and broke it.  Jason went and got us new phones.  I am scared to drop it, or have it get smashed in my purse, or what ever so I made this case.

Well, that is all the up dates I have for this week.  I think I may rename me blog Sick kids and Crafts.  That pretty much sums up my life!

Winter Sports

The kids have had a rough time with the move, so Jason decided to get Dillon and Truman onto a basketball team.  That way they would be getting exercise and playing with kids their own age.  They practice once a week and play every Saturday.  On the Saturdays that Jason works this proves to be difficult for me to take them all to there respective games, and try to keep Elleree happy, and Beckett fed.  So far though the kids have loved it and it has been really good for them.

It is difficult for someone with my limited skills to get good pictures of things that are moving.  So, alas you are subjected to these awesome pictures!

Dillon is quite the rebounder, he is a little taller than most of the other kids on the court.  It happens to be a good thing because he doesn't get passed the ball that often.

Every so often he will take a shot.  He hasn't made one yet, but that's okay.  More often he rebounds and passes for an assist.  He is a pretty good team player.

Now, if you want to get some good laughs, watch a bunch of 5 year olds playing ball.  These kids are hilarious!  They play with a little ball, and can barely dribble it.  Their couches are allowed onto the court to help keep them on task.  More often times then not you will see them playing Karate not basketball.

They have to be reminded who's basket is who's.  Offence and defence are the same thing to them.  As my dad would say "it's like herding a bunch of cats".  It makes for a good laugh though.

I was hoping that I would make some aquantences/friends amoung the parents.  But, it is not meant to be.  It seems most of the parents know eachother, and I am kind of the odd man out.  I have yet you make any friends here.  It is starting to get discouraging.    I've found it  hard to put myself out there, especially when I don't know what is going to be happening in the next couple of months.  It doesn't make it any less lonely though.  I just keep thinking that there is some sort of method to this madness. Right?????

Dillon has made a friend that comes over to play, his name is Beau.  Beau informed me yesterday that his mom has acne too.  Yeah, I don't want to talk about it.  I love that kids are so brutaly honest!

Not Again

Ah yes, once again Beckett was in the Hospital.  A bit more serious this time.  He had Bronchiolitis, which is most often caused by RSV, but he tested negative for RSV.

Beckett had been sick for a couple of days.  I stayed up with him all Wednesday night and by 5:00 am Thursday morning it was evident that he was in respiratory distress and needed care that I could not give him.  So I headed to the ER.

They admitted him and ran the gamut of tests they run and came to the conclusion that it was a virus and we were going to just have to wait it out.  So we did.  Thursday night was the worst, it was touch and go on whether he was going to go on a ventilator. Side note, turns out my acne is triggered by stress, just thought I'd share.  Beckett held his own, and made it through, after that night he slowly improved.

He was released Sunday.  He is not 100% , but much better, at least he can eat and is not on oxygen.  I want to thank my mom for coming once again and taking care of the kids.  She is always willing to drop everything and come to my rescue, and that means so much to me.  I also want to thank everyone for there prayers.  I have never physically felt the strength of others prayers before this.  Not even when Elleree was in the Hospital, but I did this time and I am so grateful for the support!

These are pictures of Monkey man this morning after a much needed bath.  He looks good, right!

Update

Non stop action and fun here.  Last weekend I turned 31, and was sick with a fever.  This, if you know me is not unusual for my birthday.  I ended up having strep throat.  My husband being the cute man that he is made my birthday special anyway.  Here are some cute pictures.

Jason being the dad he is let the kids "help" with the cake.  He made me a German Chocolate cake and Sweat and Sour Chicken and rice.  It was fabulous

Even though I had the worst sore throat ever that did not stop me from having the biggest piece ever!

The rest of the day was spent sleeping.  This how we usually do it Elleree on one side and Beckett on the other.  I know it looks like I am smothering him, but his head is actually turned the other way.

Dillon got guitar hero for Christmas and the kids have been jam'n ever since.  It is really funny because they don't know the songs so when they sing it sounds sooo funny.  As you can see Elleree has really found her calling as the drummer, she is feeling it!

Jason's mom got the dress above for Elleree for Christmas, and even though it is too small she wears it all the time.  She makes Jason tie the ribbon that is supposed to go around the dress on her head as a very stylish bow!

I had to put this picture on because Truman is awesome.  Some how he is able to put his pj's on inside out, and still button them up.  He gets it from my side of the family.

Elleree got Beauty and the Beast for Christmas.  As you know it is a very intense movie, so she has to watch it from a foot away just in case she misses something!
I don't have any funny pictures of Dillon.  It is kind of sad when they pass that stage.

This last weekend my friend Jamie came to visit me.  She has a little girl Truman's age, and a set of twins, Elleree's age.  Her little girl loved Beckett, and of course we can see why.  He is so cute!

It was fun for the kids to have someone to play with, we haven't had that happen a lot lately.  It was even better for me to have Jamie I miss having friends to hang out with and to talk to.

So what have I been up to besides getting older and being sick?  Well I finished this snowman that I was supposed to do clear back when Alli was here.  She got the idea from http://craftychicmommy.blogspot.com/2010/11/crafts-are-never-bore-with-2x4.html/.  I finished Becketts birth announcements, which are super cute if I don't say so my self, and mailed them off.

We switched realistate agents, in the hopes that maybe in the next 6 months we will actually get our house to sell, since the last 6 months we have had no luck.  The house we are renting we just got the notice on the door the other day that it is in foreclosure.  The sale date is May 13th, and the kids school is not out until 24th of May.  We are working on a way to be able to finish the kids school year out and not have to move before the year is out.

That is the update for the last two weeks.
