All of October

Some how the whole month of October got the best of me, so this is going to be a really long post tune in and out at your leasure!

The first part of the month was a trip to see the old sister.  Mom and Dad were kind enough to come along so that I wasn't the pregnant lady with three wild kids, instead I was the pregnant lady with three wild kids and two old people, Just kidding.  I have friends that moved to Colorado this summer, so we hooked up with them at a Boondocks and had a good time.
The kids got to play miniature golf, as you can see Elleree is a pro.  They rode bumper boats, raced cars, played lazer tag, played in the play land, and played a ton of video games.  It was a long day.

Next day we went to this super cool park/museum it has sculptures and other cool things made out of junk.  This guy has all this land, and junk and lets people walk around and enjoy themselves.
My kids really liked the place where they had instruments they made a ton of noise.  They had huge chimes, and horns anything that would conduct sound.
My mom even consented to have her photo taken.  I think she is adorable with the kids, but she hate having her picture taken.

The kids of coarse have no problem having their pictures taken.
Who's huge kid is that?  Oh yeah that is Allison's 1 year old, isn't he adorable!
We had to have some cousin loves.  We had a good time visiting them, too bad they are not closer!
When we came back Jason had made trip to the place I like to call (The house that will not sell) and picked these pumpkins from his garden.  They are amazing and I have to say Jason was very proud of them!
One weekend we got to have Paisley and Ivan come for a visit.  Most of the family doesn't get to see her very often, so I put some picture here of her.  She is quite the little independent thing and doesn't like to have a picture taken!  She is super cute  though!
We carved the Pumpkins for family home evening one night.  Jason was so happy we didn't even have to pay for them this year.  I made Truman help me clean out his pumpkin.  Yeah, he threw up after touching the gooey stuff (surprise, surprise).
Dillon and Elleree were all over cleaning the pumpkins and carving them.
Truman's "vampire bat" as he called it.  He was very proud of it.  Elleree went to bed because she wasn't feeling well, Jason finished carving hers, and then we put it in her bedroom as a night light she loved it.
Dillon and his completed pumpkin it was also a bat.  Don't even ask me about the no shirt!
All three pumpkins and some really fearsome boys!
We had so many pumpkins that the kids were able to pant a pumpkin as well.  They are quite the artists.
For Halloween we went to a Trunk-or-Treat with our ward on Friday.  The kids enjoyed that.  Then on Saturday we got up early and went to Mackay.  We went trick-or-treating there and also went to the carnival.  I was extreamly bumed not to throw my anual Halloween party it has been 7 years now that I have been doing it.  We just didn't have the space, money, energy, or the friends/family to do it this year.  I missed it terribly, and hopefully I will be able to do it again next year!!
Elleree my little dinosaur, she picked this costume out by herself and wouldn't take off the hat all night!  Dillon was the grim reaper, but got made if anyone called him that because the costume package called it some sort of phantom.  Truman was batman, and of coarse we couldn't be the batman we already hat the costume for oh no, don't ask me why he kept sticking out his tongue.

Just a Freakin Visit

This weekend, I had my first non-family visitor. My friend Lori and her son Xander came and hung out with us.  Xander is three and is going through a phase where he likes to say freakin a lot.  It cracks me up, freakin dog, freakin house, freakin awesome.  Any way it was so nice to see them and get to run around with them.  Jason watched the kids while we went to the movies (I know he is a sweetie) and also while I was out eating frozen yogurt (at my new favorite place Kiwi Loco) and shopping with Lori and her family.  Lori got an iPad for her birthday, so she let the kids play with it, and of coarse they fought over it like crazy.  Xander is amazing on it he can do anything with it, if Lori didn't have a password he would be downloading Apps. It is pretty cool though, even cooler was seeing Lori!

Decoration

Last weekend my parent decided to take a fun mini vacation to Salt Lake City, they went to Conference, picked out some carpet, and the most importantly they went to IKEA (okay maybe not most important).  Any way on their way back they decided to take a long detour to come and see us.  I was super excited because I don't get many visitors.  They brought me a bunch of stuff from IKEA that I wanted for Elleree for Christmas and they got me a surprise.  My mom is so funny, we are so much alike that she picks stuff out that I wanted, but was not going to get because it would just be more money.  So she got me this decoration thingy that I didn't even tell her I liked, but I love it.  It is officially my only decoration, but it works perfect for my new pictures of my kids that are adorable.  Check it out!

Bad Day

I am having a really bad day. Elleree and Truman would not quit fighting while I was paying bills, and paying bill sucks as it is.  When I was done paying them it was time to get lunch for the kids.  Of coarse I have to make two different meals because I am a short order cook.  When I was done Truman informs me that Elleree needs her diaper changed.  Okay that is and under statement.  There was poop everywhere, two piles on my floor (I have pictures but Allison said she would disown me if I put them on), all up her back and on her knees and socks.  One of those moments when you wish you were not the mom.  I screamed and then picked Elleree up and put her in the shower to clean her off.

Best part: when she took her pull-up off one leg and kicked it off the other spraying poop all over the bathtub.

I then had to run Truman to the bus stop, leaving my house a poopy mess.  Have I mentioned I'm pregnant?  Just thought I let you know.  Anyway how do you clean up poop with out a carpet cleaner?  I don't know the best you can.

Next I decided (because I am an awesome mom) to make a big giant cookie for my kids for dessert tonight.  We are having homemade pizza and I thought it would be fun to have a big pizza cookie too.  Yeah I started making it and realized that I have no more Baking Soda (having used it all on the poop thing earlier).  I decided to make Dillon go to our neighbors house (who we have never met) to get me a teaspoon of baking soda.  Dough made I put it in the pizza pan, turns out our pan is a 12 inch not 14 inch who new.  This is what my cookie looked like when I first started smelling something burning

And here is what it looked like when the time was up and it was supposed to be ready.  Cookie anyone?

Bonus: now my house smells like smoke instead of poop.  Remind me to never try and be a good mom again!

My Awesome Skirt

I made this skirt, and didn't follow the directions all the way (okay so there were no directions) but it ended up bigger than I thought it would be.  It is longer and wider than it should be, needless to say it is definitely a maternity skirt, and maybe after I have the baby I will redo it to fit better.  I know you would think that I have been sewing enough to figure this stuff out by now, but noooo.  Meanwhile I have enough material for another skirt, so I think I will make Allison one, that is if she likes it.

With Elleree holding it you get an idea of the size of this baby, it's huge!

Poor Elleree

My poor baby girl has had a rough time of it lately.  We bit the bullet and decided to start potty training, and stopping the sucking of the thumb.  After doing some research, about the thumb sucking not the potty training, we tried various techniques.  We put a band aid on it, painted it with that nasty fingernail polish especially for thumb suckers, I even jerry rigged some duct tape into thingy, all to no avail. I decided there has to be something better, I found exactly what I wanted on line.  I swear this company stole my idea check it out, and check out the price! http://www.yourhandaid.com/shop/  Any who when I realized I was not going to fork over that kind of moola I decided to make one of my own.  Elleree only has to have something covering her thumb that she can't get off, so I made this.  She calls it her glove, and the boys keep begging me to make them one. I am going to make it in all different colors.  Best part it cost me nothing, and it is washable.

Gross

I have decided to dedicate me blog to all the gross things that happen to me.  Pictures of my kids teeth missing, vomit, and yes shingles.  Okay maybe not, but I had to include this because nothing else is happening in my life.
In the course of moving I smashed my little toe like a million times. Don't ask how, it is kind of like when you bite your cheek, you just keep doing it. Any way long story short I was siting on the couch the other day and realized my nail was moving, a couple of days later a whole section of it dislodged it self from my toe, then yesterday the whole entire thing came off (well Jason, and Truman helped a bit).  Truman accidentally kicked it and it was hanging by some skin, and my brave husband, who I have to say was totally grossed out, pulled the rest off for me.  I have never lost a nail before, it is freaking me out, okay not really but it is kind of funny.  I have so many questions.  Will it grow back?  Should I paint the skin, when I paint the rest of my nails, just so it looks normal?  What if it is painful when it grows back?  Oh well here is an awesome picture.

1st Day of School 2010

What you say your kids just started school today, yes.  Twin Falls school district didn't start until after Labor Day. Nice.  I am torn on the school kid thing.  On one hand I am glad to get rid of the crying, fighting duo, on the other hand I will miss them entertaining Elleree, and giving me something to do even if it is yelling at them.

Dillon said his first day was good.  He made 2 friends, but doesn't remember their names.  He didn't get into trouble.  He was disappointed in himself because he didn't get all his spelling words correct.  Other than that it was a good day.

Truman can't remember anything.  When asked how his day went he doesn't know.  Any other questions it is alternated between he doesn't remember, and he doesn't know.  He did say he is looking forward to school tomorrow, which I guess is a good sign.

Fun Weekend

In an attempt to forget that we moved Jason loaded us up and we went to the fair Friday night.  The Twin Falls fair is actually really good.  It has everything that the state fair has minus the crowd.  I am totally digging it.  The kids had a blast eating and riding the rides, and I loved the eating.

Early Saturday we got up and headed to Utah in order to make it to our nephews baptism.  It was a good time spent with Jason's family, and my sister in-laws family.  I really enjoy them both.  We went swimming after lunch and the kids of coarse loved it.  I kept trying to get a good picture of how big Elleree's diaper got, but none of the pictures would do it justice.  Any way we just played with family, and finally came home on Monday much depressed that we had to leave.  Bless my sister in-laws heart for feeding us and entertaining us.  I wish that we lived closer to family, mine and Jason's.

My Baby Girl

My baby girl is growing up.  When we moved Jason and I decided that she needed to start sleeping in a bed instead of the crib (perils of having another child on the way).  So we went and found her a bed. I took her shopping for a comforter and sheets.  She fell, I mean absolutly fell in love with this comforter.  I was not a big fan so I tried to change her mind, as she drug it all over the store, giving it hugs.  Every one I thought was cute she would say " I no want it", or "let Morgan have it".  Finally I gave in and bought it for her, she is spoiled!

I got it home and Jason took one look and said take it back I don't like it.  I said but she loves it, and it's her bed.  Jason said take it back she will change her mind.  So the next morning she was telling me how much she loved her comforter, and I told her daddy said we have to take it back, she looks at me and says "so what we going to do about that".  Jason was listening in on the conversation and said fine she can keep it.  So she is happy sleeping in her new bed, she took to it like a fish to water.

Ode To My House

I called Allison today having a complete break down about the move.  So far I have done pretty good I have only cried intermittently during times that have been tough.  But this was a whopper and in between my blubbering (I still am not sure how she understood a word I said) she tried to console me.  The hardest part I am having is leaving my house, and neighbors.  It seems odd, but I am not really that attached to Idaho Falls.  We have lived her for 6 years and I have only made a handful of friends (I will miss them a ton too).  What I have really gotten close to is my neighbors, and house.  I am sure moving wouldn't seem so bad, if I was trading one house for another, or one neighborhood for another, but we are not.  We are moving to a small rental house. I need to say good bye to this house in two days and I don't know how to (especially without crying)  This will be a long boring post, but it is for me kind of as a purging, so don't feel compelled to read it.

I will miss my yard.  We have a huge back yard, where the kids have room for a sand box Jason built, trapolene, and play set, and a large garden (also Jason's doing), with plenty of room for the kids, dog and any neighbor who happens to drop by, to run.  I like mowing it, our neighbors say I am crazy for not having a riding lawn mower, but I enjoy it.

I will miss the size of our house.  It is the prefect size not too big and not too small. We have put so much into this house.  We have redone the front because it was falling off.  Put on a new back, because it was rotting off.  Build a large deck and porch. Finished the basement with it's two bedrooms, bathroom, storage room, and theater room.  We have landscaped the front yard with tons of beautiful flowers.   Put in air conditioning and new driveway.  Put in a garden, yes I did help up it in, I just don't do anything else.

Our house in 2004 right after we moved in.  Sorry the picture is so bad, I had to take a picture of a picture.  I didn't have a digital camera back then.  Notice baby Dillon and baby Abby.  Dillon was only one when we moved in.

Our house in 2010.  Complete with for sale sign.  I know it doesn't even look like the same house.

I will miss my neighbors.  Having good neighbors that know who you are, and care about you is important.  I will miss them just coming over to visit.  I will miss how they watch out for my kids, and make sure they are safe and alright.  I will miss waving to too them and shouting nonsense to each other.    Feeling safe about leaving our house to go places, because I know my neighbors will watch out for it, will be missed.  Having kids my own kids age to play with and having them feel comfortable enough to just drop by, that will be missed.  I will miss how at Christmas time the entire cul-de-sac delivers goodies to each other.  I love how we all have dogs, and just put up with each others dogs, because we all know how naughty they can be sometimes.  I will miss how we each is shovel someone else s drive ways in the winter just to be nice.

Most of all I will miss my life here.  I have had two babies in this house. We have made this house a home.  No matter what, I guess I will always have my memories, and pictures and can be grateful for all the wonderful experiences I have had in this house.  Goodbye house!

Truman's Birthday 2010

Last week my little man turned 5 years old.  We had a little party for him, we had close friends and family come.  It turned out a bit hectic that day because we had two showings on the house, so I was frantically cleaning yelling at the kids.  I also had to run a bunch of errands.  Thank heavens my mom showed up early and took all the kids and saved the day!  She took them to a movie, lunch and Toys R Us.  She is my hero!  Thanks mom!

Trumans Scooby Doo Icecream Cake.  I didn't make him a cake this year because he hates cake and only eats ice cream.

Truman blowing out his candles.

He hit the jackpot he got tons of transformers, legos and and a cool fire truck.

I know it doesn't look like it, but he really did like all of his presents!

We had a pretty good turn out, Jason bought pizza and we filled up the family room with friends and family.  Thanks everyone!
