I have been trying to finish up some projects that I have been working on. I have a million of them still to do, but here are a couple I have been doing.
This is my awesome bracelet that I made out of.... yes, you guessed it a spoon.
This is a desk that my grandpa built.
I painted it and, the kids love it! They just have to sit at it when they have homework. Even Elleree pretends she has homework so she can sit at it.
This little electronic do-hicky copies videos, and transfers them to to DVDs. Why, you ask, do you have one of those? Well I got all of the old videos of grandmas with the cartoons on them. SWEET! Yeah you know what I'm talking about: The Hobbit, The Last Unicorn, The Dark Crystal, Disney Shorts, Looney Toons, Mr. Magoo, Mighty Mouse and others. The point being, if there are any of my relations that have a hankering to revisit, their childhood you need to contact me so I can get you a copy.
This is a quilt I made for Beckett awhile ago, the kids lost it, they just found it.
I think it is cute, one of my friends said it was scary. They are monsters, which is what Beckett is, so it works out really well.
This is the project that I am most proud, of I re-upholstered this chair.
Sure, I have no idea what I am doing but if you have no idea what to look for it looks good.
This is the only picture I could find of the before I tore the chair apart. Jason bought this chair for $3 at an auction.
I pulled this chair apart like over a year ago. I went to a book club where the host had re-upholstered a ton of things and said it wasn't very hard. Yeah, it took me only a little while to get to it. P.S. I think my version looks way better.
This is the couch that I really did have re-upholstered by a professional. I bought it at an auction too, only it cost more than $3. It is gorgeous, I just wish that I had some place to put it other than my garage.
I love the fabric, from far away it just looks blue, but it really has this little leaf pattern. The guy who did it actually didn't like the material, and had me come in twice to make sure that it was what I really wanted before he would order it. After it was done he said he had to admit that it looked good. I know what I'm talking about. Okay not really I just know what I like.
This is the other chair we had done. It used to belong to my grandparents.
This is the material. My dream is to have an eclectic collection of cool chairs that don't match, but that look cool together. Maybe someday.....

CRAZY!!! Good job I would let you do my chair or couches if I had any to do.
Man oh Man! When you get to going you don't mess around!
So, I'm pretty sure I have at least 3 children who are going to be needing some DVD's of the aforementioned cartoons! Plus one crazy lady might need a copy too! So, I'll be sending some moolah along before the machinery burns up from too much production :0)
The furniture projects are straight up PHENOM! You ARE well on your way to the land of coolness even without the nifty re-done sitting devices.
I LOVE the blanket! Scary? I think NOT!
LOVE you too!
I like that bracelet, might have to try it myself, but I love the chair. How did you figure that out? I want to learn.
There is SOOO much to comment about here I don't know where to start.
Ok, the new family picture at the top of the blog. Super cool!! Love it. (I'm assuming Yay Alli!)
The bracelet is funky and fun, the blanket I NOT scary, the desk totally reminds me of when I was a kid (I stashed all my drawing stuff in one just like it).
Super excited about the DVD's and hope to help get a numbers count from different families for you. (I think I told you what I want)
The professionally done couch and chair are so pretty and beautiful fabric choices on both.
The BEST of all here though, is the chair you did yourself. SOO great!
Isn't it fun to to those? It is actually not that hard.
If you haven't ever seen it check out the before and after section on designsponge. (google it) There are some really cool upholstery re-dos.
How on earth do you find the time??
